2008–09 FIS Snowboard World Cup
The Snowboard World Cup 2008/ 09 began on 7 September 2008 at New Zealand Cardrona and ended on March 22, 2009 at the Italian Valmalenco. On the men's 34 contests should be held (8 parallel giant slalom, parallel slalom 3, 9 snowboard cross, 1 Slopestyle, Halfpipe 8 and 5 Big Air). In the women's 29 competitions were planned (8 parallel giant slalom, parallel slalom 3, 9 snowboard cross, 1 Slopestyle and Halfpipe 8 ). The slopestyle competitions in Bardonecchia and the parallel giant slalom at Cypress Mountain but had to be canceled in men and women.
The highlight of the season was the Snowboard World Cup, the 24th January 2009, which was held from 18 in Gangwon in South Korea.
