2008 Alpine Skiing World Cup

The season 2007/2008 the FIS Alpine World Cup, organized by the began on 27 October 2007 in Sölden and ended on March 16, 2008 on the occasion of the World Cup finals in Bormio.

In the men's 40 races were planned (10 runs, 7 Super -G, Giant Slalom 8, 11 slalom, Super 4 combinations); but also with a combined score. The planned departure at the season finale in Bormio but had to be canceled without replacement. In the women's 38 races (10 runs, 7 Super -G, Giant Slalom 8, 10 slalom, 3 Super- combinations ) should be discharged, three races ( giant slalom and slalom in Zwiesel, Bormio downhill ) accounted for replacement.

This season was an interim year without a world championship or Olympic Games.

The decision in the super - G World Cup of Men was one of the scarcest in the history of Alpine Ski World Cup. Hannes Reichelt won the last super-G in Bormio with 0.01 sec start. Since the previously leading the World Cup Didier Cuche to a place missed the World Cup points ranking, Reichelt decided the discipline standings with one point lead for themselves.
