2008 Eneco Tour
The 4th Eneco Tour was held from August 27, 2008 20.
The week-long cycling stage race consisted of a prologue and seven stages. The total distance was 1122 km. The prologue and the first three stages led by the Netherlands. During the fourth stage, which started in the Netherlands Terneuzen and ended in the Belgian Ardooie, the move to Belgium took place, where the rest of the tour went. The tour is part of the UCI ProTour racing series in 2008.
José Iván Gutiérrez was able to repeat his 2007 victory. The scoring Jurgen Roelandts won. The mountain trophy won Floris Goes Inside.
Participants
It was attended by all 18 UCI Pro Tour and 2 Professional Continental team. The wildcards received Cycle Collstrop and Skil- Shimano. The maximum rider per team was 8 driver. Just as in 2007, some teams nominated fewer drivers, thus started only 151 driver tour. Astana, Bouygues Telecom, Cofidis and Euskaltel -Euskadi began with 7 riders, team Gerolsteiner and Lampre 6 nominated only 5 riders.

Prologue: Sittard- Geleen
Cyril Lemoine started early in the prologue than 4.4 km. On a dry track, he went fastest. Later, it began to rain. The time trial specialist Stijn Devolder, Leif Hoste, Michael Rogers and Joost Posthuma could not undercut Lemoine time. Only the defending champion José Iván Gutiérrez was fast. Three Belgians were placed in the top ten. The only Dutch in the top ten was Koen de Kort sixth.

Ratings in the itinerary
- During the 5th stage Kenny van Hummel wore the polka-dot jersey, Tom Boonen got out of the tour, in order to participate in the Vuelta a España in 2008.
Retired driver
From 151 launched riders finished only 109 round trip. Many drivers ended the tour early to take part in the Vuelta a España 2008 or the Tour of Germany 2008.

For the first three riders in each stage get 3, 2 and 1 point. The top ten overall score as follows: 50, 40, 35, 30, 25, 20, 15, 10, 5 and 2 Only driver of the 18 ProTour teams will receive points.
