2008 Ironman World Championship
The Ironman Triathlon World Series 2008 was a race series of triathlon competitions over the Ironman distance, it is organized annually by the World Triathlon Corporation ( WTC).

An Ironman race goes on the Triathlon Long Distance 3.86 km swim, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running
In the 20 individual races of the season and the race on the half Ironman distance ( Ironman 70.3 ) triathletes could be for a starting place at Ironman Hawaii - the unofficial world championship - qualify on 11 October 2008.
