2008 NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race

The NASCAR Sprint All- Star Race XXIV and the NASCAR Sprint Showdown 2008 found 17 May 2008 at Lowe 's Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina, a suburb of Charlotte, instead. The All-Star Challenge ran mostly off again after the format of 2007. The only change was that not 20, but 25 laps each be driven in the four segments. Kasey Kahne won the race had.

Qualified by victories in the 2007 season

All drivers who could win in the Sprint Cup a race in 2007 and 2008 over the years, are eligible. The following list shows all drivers who have qualified via victory for the All-Star Challenge 2007 and the race, which led to the qualification.

  • The start number 5, driven by Casey Mears was also be qualified for the All- Star Race, because with it one race was won in the 2007 NASCAR Nextel Cup season. Qualified by the Sprint Open / the Fan Vote

The winner and the runner-up of the Sprint Open qualified for the All-Star Challenge. Kasey Kahne also, who received the most votes in Fanvote allowed to participate. Everyone had to start at the end of the field.
