2008 World Sprint Speed Skating Championships

The 39th World Sprint Speed Skating Championship was held from 19 to 20 January 2008 at Heerenveen Dutch ( Thialf ).

78 athletes from 18 nations came to Mecca for speed skaters to determine among themselves the sprint world champion

In the Sprint World Cup is on the 500 and 1,000 m distance, each in two days. When an athlete starts on the first day on the inside lane, it starts on the second day on the winger.
