2009–10 IIHF European Women's Champions Cup

The IIHF European Women Champions Cup 2009/10 was the sixth edition of the discharged by the International Ice Hockey Federation IIHF competition. On October 30, 2009 to March 14, 2010 discharged participated in this tournament 20 teams from 20 countries. The final round was held in the German capital of Berlin from 12 to 14 March 2010.

For the second time in the history of European Women Champions Cup Final Round none of the participants had been set. The four finalists were determined in two qualifying rounds. In addition, for the first time took part in no Swedish team in the competition.

Preliminary round

The preliminary round matches took place before 1 November 2009 from October 30. As a venue for group A, the Austrian Salzburg acted, in the Latvian Ventspils matches in Group B were discharged, nad Vltavou in Kralupy the pairings of group C and group D were held were played in Alleghe.

The winners of Groups A and D have qualified to participate in Group E, while the winners of the groups B and C were placed in the group F.

Second round

The matches of the second round were held to 6 December 2009 of 4. As a venue for the Group E served the German capital Berlin and the group F was played in Slaný. It qualified in each case the two teams in the first positions of a group for the Super Final.

Group E

For the games in Group E, the Espoo Blues from Finland and Aisulu Almaty from Kazakhstan were already set. In addition, the OSC Berlin and Agordo Hockey qualified through the group stage.

Group F

For the games in Group F of the HC Lugano in Switzerland and Moskovskaya Oblast Tornado from Russia were already set. About the preliminary round of HC Slavia Prague and SHK Laima Riga qualified.

Super Final

The Super Final was held from 12 to 14 March 2010 in Berlin. Like last year, none of the four finalists was set. Only about two qualifying rounds, four teams have qualified.
