2009–10 Liga II

The League II 2009/10 was the 70th season of the second Romanian football league. She started 15 August 2009 and ended on June 12, 2010. From early December 2009 to late February 2010 rested the game operation ( winter break ). Up in the League 1 were FC Victoria Brăneşti, Sportul Studenţesc, FCM Targu Mures and Universitatea Cluj.

Mode

The League II was fought in two seasons each with 18 teams. The two teams in every season were promoted to the Football League 1, while the five lowest ranked teams had to stay in the League III. Second teams of first division were not entitled to advancement. For a victory, there were three points, one for a draw and no points for a defeat. Case of a tie at the end of the season not the goal difference, but the direct comparison decided.
