2009–10 MHL season

The season 2009/10 Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja League was the first season of the highest Russian junior league in hockey.

Mode

The 22 teams in the league Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja were divided into two conferences before the season along regional lines, with the Western Conference with twelve teams, two teams had more than the Eastern Conference. Each team played six games against each opponent within the conference, limiting the number of matches per team 66 and 54, respectively.

The top eight teams from each conference qualified for the playoffs then, in which winners of the Kharlamov Cup was played. For a win within regular time each team received three points with a victory after extra two points with a defeat after extra time there was a point and a defeat after regular time zero points.
