2009–10 Superleague Greece

The Super League 2009/10 was the fourth season since the top division in Greece Super League is called. The championship was played with 16 clubs, the 13 best of the season 2008/ 09 and three climbers from the Beta Ethniki. For the first time since the renaming of the League of Alpha Ethniki in Super League was not champion Olympiakos, Panathinaikos prevailed and won the first place. In the playoffs, Piraeus fell from second place in the regular season to fifth back. Otherwise, this had no further impact on the rankings of the teams. Only PAS Ioannina went straight off again.

Clubs

The three clubs Atromitos, AO Kavala and PAS Ioannina replace the relegated Fylis Thrasyvoulos, Panserraikos and OFI Crete.

Playoffs

The teams that find themselves at the end of the current Super League season in the squares Two to Five, playing in the so-called play-offs, a mini - elimination tournament to the European launch sites. Besides getting the clubs who finished second to fourth place in the regular season, the projection for fourth-placed Aris Saloniki divided and rounded by five. The winner of the playoffs is safe to participate in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League. The runner-up will qualify for the third and final qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League, third place start in Qualifying Round Two of the UEFA Europa League. Shifts by the cup are possible.
