2009 Aegon Championships

The AEGON Championships 2009, a tennis tournament, which took place from 8 to 14 June 2009 at London's Queen 's Club. It was part of the ATP World Tour 2009. During the same week the Gerry Weber Open in Halle were played that counted just like the AEGON Championships to Category ATP World Tour 250.

Defender of the single was Rafael Nadal, who no longer took part in this year's tournament. In this year's final of the topgesetze local hero Andy Murray won against the set at number six American James Blake in straight sets 7-5, 6-4. This was the fourth tournament victory of Murray this year and his total twelfth on the professional tour. In doubles, Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic were as topgesetztes duo to defend their title. After a bye in the first round, they were knocked out in the second round. This year, the duo Wesley Moodie and Mikhail Youzhny won in the final against Brazil's Marcelo Melo and André Sá Dup in three sets.

The field of the individual competition consisted of 56 players, double that of the competition from 24 pairs. The top-seeded player in singles or 8 pairs in double each got a bye into the second round.
