2009 Aegon Trophy

The Aegon Trophy 2009 was a tennis tournament which took place in Nottingham from 30 May to 7 June 2009. It was the first edition of the tournament of the ATP Challenger Tour in 2009 and was held outdoors on grass.

The field of the individual competition consisted of 32 players, double that of the competition from 16 pairs. Both for the individual and for the doubles event there was a qualifying round with 16 players, or 4 pairings, by the four players, or a pairing, could qualify for the main draw itself. The prize money of the event totaled € 42,500.

First winner of the individual competition was the unseeded American Brendan Evans, in a competitive game eventually won in the final against the set at position five Serb Ilija Bozoljac in the tiebreak of the third set. It was Evans ' third individual title at Challenger level of his career and the second this season.

The double competition won the set at position three American Eric Butorac and Scott Lipsky, the unseeded British Colin Fleming and Ken Skupski defeated in the final. It was Butoracs eleventh career title with a doubles competition of the Challenger category, and the fourth in the 2009 season. Lipsky For it was the 13th Challenger doubles title of his career and his second tournament win of the season. It was the second victory of the common two Americans at a Challengerturnier.
