2009 Bank Austria-TennisTrophy

The Bank Austria Tennis Trophy 2009 was held from November 1, 2009 in Vienna on 26 October. She was part of the ATP World Tour 250 2009. The tournament prize money totaling € 500,000. The field of individual petition consisted of 32 players, double that of the petition of 16 pairs.

None of last year's winner ( Philipp Petzschner in the individual event, Max Mirnyi and Andy Ram in double ) stepped up to defend their title. In individual, the Austrian Jurgen Melzer secured his second title on the ATP Tour. He was the first Austrian winner since Horst Skoff in 1988, and only the second ever. In doubles, the Polish- Austrian duo Lukasz Kubot / Oliver Marach sat against the purely Austrian team Julian Knowle / Jurgen Melzer almost 2:6, 6:4, [ 11:9 ] through. Here, too, was with Marach the first time since 1988, and the second time ever, an Austrian victory in the team (then won Alexander Antonitsch together with the Italians, Balázs Taróczy ).

Prize money and world ranking points

At Bank Austria Tennis Trophy 2009, the following prize money and world ranking points were paid or credited for each round is reached. Players that have occurred from the qualifying into the main draw, the qualifying points were given in addition to those for the respective round is reached. Otherwise, the amounts are not cumulative. The amounts for the double competition are per player to understand.

The total prize money for the main competition was € 574,750.
