2009 Grand Prix de Tennis de Lyon

The Grand Prix de Tennis de Lyon in 2009 was a tennis tournament which took place in Lyon from 26 October to 1 November 2009. It was part of the ATP World Tour in 2009 and was held in the indoor hard courts. In the same week the Bank Austria Tennis Trophy was played in Vienna, which as the Grand Prix de Tennis de Lyon counted exactly to Category ATP World Tour 250.

Defender of the single was Robin Soderling, who did not participate in this year's tournament. In the final, Ivan Ljubičić defeated Michaël Llodra locals in two sets 7:5 and 6:3. For Ljubičić it was the first title in the current year as well as his ninth title overall on the ATP Tour. In Michaël Llodra and Andy Ram double were the defending champions, but they took this year is not more common in the tournament. In the all-French final Julien Benneteau and Nicolas Mahut won against Arnaud Clement and Sebastien Grosjean in straight sets 6:4 and 7:66. For Mahut it was the first doubles title in Lyon, while it was for Benneteau, after his victory in 2006, together with Arnaud Clément, already the second title.

The field of the individual competition consisted of 32 players, double that of the competition from 16 pairs.
