2009 IRB Pacific Nations Cup

The Pacific Nations Cup 2009 was the fourth edition of rugby union tournament Pacific Nations Cup. It involved the national teams of Fiji, Japan, Samoa and Tonga, as well as the last time the New Zealand selection team Junior All Blacks. Between 12 June and 3 July 2009 ten games were held, with each team once each competing against the other four. Eight of the ten games were played in Fiji, one each in Samoa and Tonga. The title won for the third time, the Junior All Blacks.

The points distribution was as follows:

  • 4 points for a win
  • 2 points for a draw
  • 0 points for a loss (before possible bonus points )
  • 1 bonus point for four tries in a match
  • 1 bonus point for a loss by fewer than seven points difference
