2009 Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters

The Monte Carlo Rolex Masters 2009 was a tennis tournament which took place near Monaco from 12 to 19 April 2009 at the French Roquebrune- Cap- Martin. It was part of the ATP World Tour in 2009 and was discharged on clay court. In the current season, it was the third of nine tournaments Category ATP World Tour Masters 1000th

In individual Rafael Nadal won the tournament by a final victory over Serbia's Novak Djokovic for the fifth time in a row. In doubles, Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic won their first title together in Monte Carlo. For Nestor, it was the first title ever in Monte Carlo while it was already the third title after 2004 and 2005 for Zimonjić.

The field of the individual competition consisted of 56 players, double that of the competition from 24 pairs. The eight top-seeded player in singles or pairs in double each got a bye into the second round.
