2009 Open 13

The Open 13, 2009, a tennis tournament, which took place in Marseille from 16 to 22 February 2009. It was part of the ATP World Tour in 2009 and was held in the indoor hard courts. In the same week the Regions Morgan Keegan Championships and the Copa Telmex in Buenos Aires were played in Memphis. The latter counted just like the Open 13 to Category ATP World Tour 250, while the Regions Morgan Keegan Championships belonged to Category ATP World Tour 500.

Andy Murray was the defending champion in singles, but he took this year no longer participate in the tournament. In the final, won the duel French Jo-Wilfried Tsonga against Michaël Llodra in straight sets 7:5 and 7:63. For Tsonga, this was the second ATP title this year and his fourth overall. In doubles, Martin Damm and Pavel Vízner were the defending champions. Both came into this year with a different partner and retired from both in the first round. In the doubles final Arnaud Clément and Michaël Llodra won against Julian Knowle and Andy Ram in three sets 3:6, 6:3 and [ 10:8 ].

The field of the individual competition consisted of 32 players, double that of the competition from 16 pairs. The total prize money amounted to € 512,750, the total financial liabilities amounted to € 576,000.
