2009 PTT Thailand Open

The PTT Thailand Open 2009, a tennis tournament, which was held in Bangkok from 26 September to 4 October 2009. It was part of the ATP World Tour in 2009 and was discharged on hard court. In the same week the Proton Malaysian Open championship in Kuala Lumpur, who scored just like the PTT Thailand Open to Category ATP World Tour 250.

Defender of the single was Jo -Wilfried Tsonga, who retired this year in the semifinals. This year's final went to Gilles Simon to decide for himself, he won against the Serbs Viktor Troicki. In the doubles were Lukáš Dlouhy and Leander Paes, the defending champion. However, you participated in this year not more common in the tournament. In the final, the U.S. duo Eric Butorac and Rajeev Ram won in straight sets against Guillermo García López and Mischa Zverev.

The field of the individual competition consisted of 28 players, double that of the competition from 16 pairs. The four top-seeded player in a single each received a bye into the second round.
