2009 Qatar Open

The Qatar ExxonMobil Open 2009, a tennis tournament, which was held in Doha from 5 to 11 January 2009. It was part of the ATP World Tour in 2009 and was discharged on hard court. In the same week Brisbane were the Brisbane International and the Aircel Chennai Open in Chennai played in that counted just like the Qatar ExxonMobil Open to Category ATP World Tour 250.

Last year's winner Andy Murray successfully defended his title after he defeated in straight sets in the final Andy Roddick. In double Philipp Kohlschreiber and David Skoch were no longer together on to defend their title. While Philipp Kohlschreiber with Christopher Kas was eliminated in the quarterfinals, David Skoch not stepped up to the tournament. In the final, the Spanish duo Rafael Nadal and Marc Lopez defeated Daniel Nestor and Nenad the duo Zimonjić 4:6, 6:4 and [ 10:8 ].

The field of the individual competition consisted of 32 players, double that of the competition from 16 pairs. The total prize money amounted to $ 1,024,000, the total financial liabilities amounted to $ 1,110,250.
