2009 Serbia Open

The Serbia Open 2009, a tennis tournament that to 10 May 2009 at place from 4 in Belgrade. It was part of the ATP World Tour 2009. During the same week the Estoril Open, and were played in Munich, the BMW Open in Estoril, which included just like the Serbia Open to Category ATP World Tour 250.

This year, the tournament was played for the first time after replacing the Tournament of Amersfoort. In the final, Novak Djokovic met Łukasz Kubot. Djokovic decided the final with 6:3 and 7:60 for themselves. In doubles, the duo Łukasz Kubot and Oliver Marach against Johan and Jean -Julien Rojer Brunström won in straight sets 6:2 and 7:63. This was the second tournament victory of the two this year, after they already won in ATP Casablanca.

The field of the individual competition consisted of 28 players, double that of the competition from 16 pairs. The four top-seeded player in singles each got a bye into the second round. The total prize money amounted to € 398,280, the total financial liabilities amounted to € 450,000.
