2009 St. Petersburg Open

The St. Petersburg Open 2009, a tennis tournament, which took place in Saint Petersburg on 25 October to 1 November 2009. It was part of the ATP World Tour in 2009 and was held in the indoor hard courts. In the same week the Bank Austria Tennis Trophy and were played in lyon the Grand Prix de Tennis de Lyon in Vienna, which included just like the St. Petersburg Open to Category ATP World Tour 250.

Defender of the single was Andy Murray, who won the last two years, respectively. This year, he did not take part in the tournament. The winner was Serhiy Stachowskyj, who defeated Argentina's Horacio Zeballos in the final. In doubles, Travis Parrott and Filip Polášek were the defending champions, but they came in this year with each new partners. Both were knocked out in the first round. The title brought Colin Fleming and Ken Skupski, they could prevail in the final against the French duo Jérémy Chardy and Richard Gasquet.

The field of the individual competition consisted of 32 players, double that of the competition from 16 pairs.
