2009 World Youth Championships in Athletics

The 6th IAAF World Youth Championships took place from 8th to 12th July, 2009 Italy in the South Tyrolean town of Brixen (Italian: Bressanone ) instead.

With 46 nations won at least one medal, a new record was set, 9 of which for the first time reached the podium at a World Youth Championship.
