2010–11 NLA season

The season 2010/11 was the fourth regular period after the renaming of the former National League A in National League A.

Since the NLB Champion HC Lausanne failed in the League qualifier at EHC Biel in 2010, launched the Liga 2010/ 11 with the same teams as last season. The HC Davos sat down in the playoff finals in six games against the Kloten Flyers and won for the 30th time by the Swiss Championship.

Mode

Be played by the 12 teams 2 double rounds of 22 games. There are 6 per team per additional matches against three opponents, which are calculated on the basis of the qualifying table of the previous year. Overall, therefore, denies any team's 50 qualifying matches. After that, the best eight teams in the playoffs determine the champion Swiss style. The quarter-finals, semi-finals and final will be played on the mode best -of-seven.

The other four teams determine the playout that team that has to play in the league against the champions of the National League B.
