2010–11 VHL season

The 2010/11 season the Wysschaja Hockey League was the 19th season of the second highest Russian Hockey League and the first since the formation of VHL.

Mode

The 20 teams were divided Wysschaja Hockey League before the season according to regional criteria in two conferences, each having ten participants. Each team played eight games against each opponent within the Conference, thereby reducing the number of matches per team in each case was 56.

The top eight teams qualified for the playoffs then, in which the second division champion was pitted. For a win within regular time each team received three points with a victory after extra two points with a defeat after extra time there was a point and a defeat after regular time zero points.
