2010 ADAC GT Masters season

The ADAC GT Masters 2010 season included 14 races in seven events of the ADAC GT Masters series. Six events were held in Germany, one in the Netherlands. The race of the ADAC GT Masters were first given in 2010 by kabel eins live on TV and commented by Rainer Braun. Masters were Albert von Thurn und Taxis and Peter Kox. The team competition was won by Abt Sportsline and the amateur standings Toni Seiler.

Oschersleben

Race 1

Martin Matzke in the BMW Alpina scored in the first qualifying session, the best time and went from the pole position in the race. He was able to defend his lead at the start and extended its lead continuously. Norman Knop Ascari worked at the start of the sixth up to second place. Behind him followed Sebastian Asch in Wieth Porsche, who also was able to overtake second place started Cuba Giermaziak the Abt- Audi. Asch eventually moved into the eleventh round also Knop over and then reducing the deficit to the underlying lead Matzke.

The mandatory pit stop graduated Wieth Racing fastest and remained only slightly above the prescribed minimum time. Kentenich and Estre were ahead of the competition in the second half of the race. Behind them formed a strong battle group, seven vehicles, in which the positions constantly alternated. Christian chief nobility in the Corvette was able to prevail in this group and overtook from sixth coming one after Peter Kox in the Reiter Lamborghini, Jens Kling man in the Abt- Audi and finally Wirth BMW Alpina, who had to contend with fading tires. Kox conceded this one also, but could not catch up to the High needle.

René Rast in another Muehlner Porsche pushed in the group up to fifth place before, but had to abandon the race a few laps because of a valve damage on the left front tire. Jimmy Johansson Pole promotional Audi pulled as well as the driving behind him Kling man still at Wirth over and took fifth place.

Kentenich crossed after 39 laps as the finish line first. On the second and third Estre and chief nobility brought their cars to the finish.

Race 2

Thomas Jäger in the Corvette posted the fastest time in the second qualifying session and thus took on the second race from pole position. His leadership he was able to hold at the start. Kévin Estre in Muehlner Porsche took the second place of Peter Kox, but was shot by a blow to the rear of the crowd and lost many positions. His place took Jens Kling man in the Abt- Audi, but he already had to give up later on René Rast in another Muehlner Porsche short time. In the following rounds snap pulled over also to Estre and hunters, and thus took the lead. Estre other hand, had to retire due to overheated engine. Christian High nobility, too, could not long hold and had to Kling man, Andreas Wirth and Niclas Kentenich can happen in third place.

Rast had moved out a lead of over 20 seconds to the mandatory pit stop and handed over the vehicle to Tim Bergmeister. Although a light rain began, Bergmeister was unlike most of its competitors on slicks. First, he lost per round on the now second placed Albert von Thurn und Taxis, who had replaced Kox at the wheel of Lamborghini, about five seconds per lap. Von Thurn and Taxis, however, had the urgent Sebastian Asch, Martin Matzke and Cuba Giermaziak can happen and fell back.

As the track dried out gradually, Bergmeister was able to extend his lead again. Also, who also remained on slicks Giermaziak benefited now and could work your way up to second place. Sachsenring

Race 1

As the fastest of the first qualifying Luca Ludwig went with the Abt - Audi from the pole position in the race. However, he lost the lead at the start of Jens Kling man in the second Abt- Audi, they retook after a round. Kling man could not keep the pace and was overtaken by Roland Rehfeld at the Ascari. Fourth place Albert von Thurn und Taxis was followed in Reiter Lamborghini, who could pass in the initial phase of Tim Bergmeister in Muehlner Porsche. Bergmeister itself was followed by Niclas Kentenich in Wieth Porsche until he was shot by Heiko Hammel in Pole promotional Audi by a touch. Hammel took over so that the sixth place and was now fighting with Bergmeister for fifth place.

After the pit stops still led the Abt- Audi, which was now controlled by Christopher Mies. Through a pit stop close to the minimum time of 70 seconds Peter Kox was, who replaced Thurn and Taxis in the Lamborghini, take the second place. Kox was able to recover about one second per lap to the leader until he caught up with him. In the 36th round Kox put on on the outside of the first corner to overtake and could sit next to Mies. In the following left turn Kox was now on the inside and could happen Mies. Race 2

The second race Christopher Mies began in the Abt- Audi from pole position. Thomas Jäger in the Corvette was thanks to the torque advantage of his vehicle at the start to take the lead and sat down in the following rounds ever designed by Mies from. Frank Kechele in the second Abt- Audi was able to defend his third place. Behind him, a battle group from Jimmy Johansson Pole promotional Audi, Andreas Wirth formed in Alpina, Michael Ammer Müller Rosberg Audi, Norman Knop in Ascari and Sascha Bert in another Corvette. Meanwhile Johansson turned his vehicle and Knop fell due to a damaged exhaust system back to the position battles until it shuts off the car because of the mandatory pit stop too much damage. Kox thus moved up to fifth place before.

During a pitstop handed fighter in the lead Corvette to Sven Hanna forest. His lead on the Abt- Audi, to its control now Luca Ludwig sat, however, was quickly depleted. Hanna forest had to give up the lead to Ludwig and Jens Kling man in the second Abt- Audi approached now. This vehicle was given, however, as in the race the day before again a tire right rear and Kling man was thrown back by the additional pit stop. Even with a large residue followed in places three to five Martin Karl Hofer, Sascha Bert replaced at the wheel of his Corvette, Martin Matzke Alpina and Niclas Kentenich in Wieth Porsche. This, however, had to retire due to a damaged radiator after the duel with Matzke the race.

Due to falling below the minimum time during the pit stop Albert von Thurn und Taxis and Tim Bergmeister had to head to the stop-and -go penalty. Von Thurn and Taxis came in sixth behind Frank Schmickler in Muehlner Porsche back on track back while Bergmeister to dispatch tickets in eighth place. Although Schmickler rapidly lost ahead of Thurn and Taxis, he could keep the Lamborghini to the end of the race behind. Luca Ludwig secured his team after 42 laps the race win. On the other podium finishes followed Sven Hanna forest and Martin Karl Hofer.

Hockenheimring

Race 1

Sebastian Asch in Wieth Porsche defended his pole position and successfully managed to get away from his pursuers. Albert von Thurn und Taxis Reiter Lamborghini took over at the start of the second place of Cuba Giermaziak in an Abt- Audi. This came later, under pressure from Tim Bergmeister in a Muehlner Porsche, but its position could defend. Martin Matzke in Alpina, which was initially in fourth place, fell back due to loss of power to his vehicle and then had to insert an unscheduled pit stop. Norman Knop, who went into the race with his Ascari from the tenth position, fought his way up to his pit stop before up to third place.

After the pit stops of Wieth Porsche, to its control now Niclas Kentenich sat was to continue with a secure lead at the top. Peter Kox, who took over from Thurn and Taxis Lamborghini, far below the minimum service life of 70 seconds to two tenths and had to sit out his stop-and -go penalty back to the pits. He left the pits in fourth place lying behind Joerg Bergmeister in the Porsche Muehlner and Roland Rehfeld at the Ascari. Rehfeld could not defend his place because of declining brakes and tires against Kox long and was soon overtaken by Kox. This was next to Muehlner Porsche of Bergmeister right, who could defend his second place however.

Niclas Kentenich that lay ahead in the lead with almost ten seconds for a few laps before the end received a drive-through penalty because he had left the barriers too often. Thus it fell to fourth place behind Bergmeister, Kox and Rehfeld. In the squares behind them followed Thomas Jäger in a Corvette and Michael Ammer Müller in a Rosberg Audi, the past pushed eight laps from the end to Christopher Mies in the Abt- Audi and thus vorarbeitete sixth. Mies then lost even a position to his teammate Jens Kling man. However, this was after the race, a 30 -second penalty, as the pit stop mechanics worked more than allowed on the vehicle, so that Mies position seven received back again.

Joerg Bergmeister, who could fend off all overtaking attempts of Peter Kox, crossed after 34 laps as the winner the finish line. The other podium finishes secured Peter Kox and Roland Rehfeld.

Race 2

From the pole position, Christian High needle went in a Corvette into the race, the talk first, before Thomas Jäger in another Corvette. At the first directions for hairpin located accident occurred. Since the Ascari was damaged by Roland Rehfeld due to a collision at the start, he could not slow down fast enough and it collided with the Porsche by Niclas Kentenich and the Corvette of Jan Lammers the vehicle. All three participants then had to finish the race.

In the fifth round drew hunters Hohenadel over and took over the lead. High nobility had a short time later a puncture and had an unscheduled return to the pits. He could only take back one lap behind the race. René Rast took in a Muehlner - Porsche at the same time Peter Kox in the Lamborghini and was now in second place. Also in the midfield created some position battles. Nicolas Armindo drove through a good start with a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, which was not equipped ABS and traction control, front up to the tenth place. However, towards Jens Kling man in stronger Abt- Audi after a few laps he could no longer hold against and he fell back to eleventh place. Very good progress was also Michael Bleekemolen, the oldest participant in the race. He drove his Porsche 911 GT3 R at times surprising fifth place, until he had to retire from the race due to a cracked exhaust manifold.

Thomas Hunter had meanwhile moved out a potential advantage and handed the vehicle shortly before the end of the pit stop window to Sven Hanna forest. On the second and third places were still the Muehlner Porsche and Lamborghini, which were now controlled by Frank Schmickler and Albert von Thurn und Taxis. He was followed by Tim Bergmeister in the second Muehlner Porsche. Von Thurn and Taxis overtook already in the first round Schmickler and now brought round by round on Hanna forest. In the last round but put of Thurn and Taxis in the Parabolica to attack and stopped himself over to Hanna forest. Schmickler could not go with the lap times of the traveling behind him Bergmeister due to a defective power steering and had to leave him short pass before the end.

Albert von Thurn und Taxis ran over after 34 laps as the winner the finish line. On the second and third place followed Sven Hanna forest and Tim Bergmeister.
