2010 CAF Champions League

The CAF Champions League 2010 is the 14th edition of the tournament organized by CAF. It began on 12 February 2010 with the first round. Tout Puissant Mazembe is the defending champion from the Democratic Republic of Congo, who played for a 5-0 win in the first leg, the second leg 1-1 against Espérance Sportive de Tunis and thus defended the title.

Qualification

Theoretically, all member associations of CAF are entitled to send teams. For the 12 best national associations of CAF - five-year rating two starting places are automatically reserved. This is valid for the qualification for the Champions League 2010, the Appreciation of the years 2004 to 2008. Thus apparent from the number of members of the CAF football associations that a maximum of 67 teams in the Champions League could participate.

Open to two teams from the following countries, listed in order of the five-year summary:

• Sudan
• Cameroons

• Algeria

• Zimbabwe

All other countries have a starting place.

First leg from March 19 to 21, Second leg matches from 2 to 4 April 2010.

First leg from April 23 to 25, Second leg matches from 7 to 9 May 2010.

Quarter-final ( Group Stage )

In the quarter-final group stage occur in two groups of four teams in home and away matches against each other. The group winners and runners qualify for the semifinals.
