2010 China Open (tennis)

The China Open 2010 took place from 4 to 10 October 2010 in Beijing. For men, they were part of the ATP World Tour 500, with the ladies, it was a WTA Premier Mandatory tournament.

In the individual competitions of the Serb Novak Djokovic and the Russian Svetlana Kuznetsova went on to defend his title. While the Serbs managed to defend the title, the failed Russian woman already in the 1st round. The victory in the women's singles went to Dane Caroline Wozniacki, who by the victory could also take the lead in the WTA world rankings for the first time.

The double title in the men could the U.S. twins Bob and Mike Bryan defend. The defending champions Hsieh Su- Wei and Peng Shuai were no more as a team, and only Peng Shuai was with another partner at the start. It failed in the second round. The women's doubles title went to Chuang Chia -jung and Wolha Hawarzowa.


The 12th edition ( the seventh since its reintroduction in 2004 ) of the ATP tournament in Beijing coincided with the taking place in Tokyo, Rakuten Japan Open Tennis Championships 2010, which were also part of the ATP World Tour 500.

Prize money and world ranking points

At the China Open 2010, the following prize money and world ranking points were paid or credited for each round reached in the men. Players that have occurred from the qualifying into the main draw, the qualifying points were given in addition to those for the respective round is reached. Otherwise, the amounts are not cumulative. The amounts for the double competition are per player to understand.

The total prize money for the main competition of the Lord tournament was $ 2,100,000. The total financial liabilities are specified with $ 3,336,500.
