The 2010 DTM season was the 24th season of the DTM or the 11th season of the DTM. My first run was on April 25, traditionally held at the Hockenheimring. The final was the first time not been held since 1987 in Hockenheim, but on the new Shanghai Pudong Street Circuit.

It took the manufacturers Audi and Mercedes -Benz. The regulations were frozen at the end of the 2009 season in order to save costs. According to both manufacturers went with the cars from last year at the start. In return, the DTM regulations are intended to be reformed comprehensively for the 2011 season.

Overall winner for the first time in his career, the Scot Paul di Resta ( Mercedes).

Starter box

The starting field of the 2010 season included 18 drivers. With David Coulthard, another former Formula 1 driver started in the DTM. He replaced Mathias Lauda with Team Mücke Motorsport. Also new this season Congfu Cheng (Mercedes) and Miguel Molina (Audi). The Team Kolles Futurecom other hand, withdrew from the DTM.

Before the season finale in Shanghai Alexandre Prémat was replaced with Team Phoenix by Darryl O'Young.

Race Calendar

The original race calendar for the 2010 season consisted of ten races. On July 15, an eleventh race of the season on the Italian Adria International Raceway has been officially confirmed to bridge the long pause between the penultimate race at Hockenheim and the season finale in Shanghai.
