2010 IPP Open

The IPP Open 2010 was a tennis tournament which took place in Helsinki from 22 to 28 November 2010. It was Challenger as part of the ATP Tour in 2010, the tenth edition of the tournament and was held in the indoor hard courts.

The field of the individual competition consisted of 32 players, double that of the competition from 16 pairs. Ahead there was a qualification tournament for the single round in which 16 participants from four starting points were awarded. The prize money of the event was as in the previous year total of € 106,500.

Winner of the individual competition was the unseeded Lithuanian Ričardas Berankis, of the set at position two poles compatriot Michal Przysiezny defeated in the final. He benefited from a back injury his opponent, who was forced by the score of 6-1, giving up 1-0. It was Berankis ' second single title on Challenger level and his first title of the season. Last year's winner Dmitry Tursunov came into this year not to defend his title.

The doubles competition won the ungsetzte German pairing of Dustin Brown and Martin Emmrich. You defeated in the finals the local wildcard owner Henri continents and Jarkko Nieminen in the match tie-break, which could advance to the finals in the previous year. It was Brown's eighth career doubles title, which he was able to celebrate one on the ATP Tour seven on Challenger level and. Besides, it was already his seventh title of the season. For Emmrich it was the fifth double success in his career, he won all Challenger on the ATP Tour, and his third this year. It was her first and so far only common title. Last year's winners Rohan Bopanna and Aisam -ul- Haq Qureshi participated in this year not participate in the tournament.

Prior to the tournament, there were two injury-related cancellations. The set on position five Slovakian Karol Beck, as well as the set on eight Indian Somdev Devvarman withdrew their participation. For this advanced Petru -Alexandru Luncanu and Timo Nieminen as a lucky loser into the main draw.
