2010 Men's European Water Polo Championship

The Water Polo Championship 2010, the men and women took place until 11 September in Zagreb in Croatia from August 29. In the 29 championships the men played twelve teams at the 13th tournament of the women fought eight teams for the title, where there was only one competition venue for the first time in the recent European Championship history. It was played on the river Sava on the SRC Mladost Sports Complex, on the Croatia's water polo record champions Mladost Zagreb is located. In the outdoor complex is a good Stahltribühne for 4700 spectators was built so that a proper water polo arena had been created as a modern football stadium for the period of the championships in the outdoor pool area. Winner at the tournament participants of the men was the host and Croatia in the women's defending champion Russia.

Quarter-finals and qualifying for the semi-finals

This was held by the Group Second and third. The respective group winners will qualify directly for the semi-finals.

The winners of the matches have qualified for the semifinals. The losers play for fifth place.

The game for 5th place is important because the winner automatically qualifies for the next European Championships in Eindhoven.
