2010 Rallye Deutschland

The 28th Rallye Germany was the ninth round of the World Rally Championship in 2010. The rally was held in the vicinity of Trier from 20 to 22 August 2010. Within 19 special stages 1192.99 kilometers were traveled on asphalt pavement, which scored 405.67. 55 of 78 starting teams crossed the finish line. The winner was Sébastien Loeb and Sébastien Ogier before Daniel Sordo.

Course

Traditionally, the race was held at Trier around and started there on Friday, August 20, at the Porta Nigra, then led the route in the vineyards in the Mosel region. On the following Saturday, the rally led to the Baumholder military training area and above the critical peak " Gina " that needed to be completed as every year. The race ended for the third time in a row with a special stage in the Trier city.

The Frenchman Loeb succeeded in Germany rally in the fifth victory of the season in 2010, later he decided the world championship. Since then, the Rally Germany 2002 had reached the world championship status, Loeb was able to win all of the sweeps since 2008 only every two -yearly race.

Loeb was the first special stage of the rally until the end in Trier in the lead. In nine of the nineteen stages of the world champion was in the lead. At the end of the projection of Loeb and co- driver Daniel Elena was 51 seconds for the second-placed Daniel Sordo and Sébastien Ogier.
