2010 World Touring Car Championship season
The World Touring Car Championship 2010 is the sixth season of the World Touring Car Championship since 2005. It began on 7 March 2010 in Curitiba and will end in Macau on November 21. A total of 24 races were initially provided on 12 routes, performance in Mexico was canceled for security reasons.
Before the start of the season Seat and Lada announced the complete BMW and a widespread retreat as a work team. Seat and BMW but continue to support private teams. However, the drivers of diesel vehicles, including the Seat Leon TDI will be scored as a works driver and therefore receive no points for the Independents' Trophy.
