2011–12 ECHL season
The 2011/12 season was the 24th regular season of the ECHL. The 20 teams contested in the regular season per 72 encounters. The point of best team in the regular season were the Alaska Aces. The Florida Everblades prevailed in the playoff final series against the Las Vegas Wranglers and won for the first time Kelly Cup.

Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- The Trenton Devils stopped the game operation and led away the game operating under the name Trenton Titans.
- The Victoria Salmon Kings stopped the game operation.
- The Chicago Express have been included as an expansion team in the league.
- The Colorado Eagles of the Central Hockey League have been included as an expansion team in the league.
