2011–12 Umaglesi Liga

The Umaghlessi League 2011/12 was the 23rd season of the highest Georgian football league of gentlemen. The season began on 6 August 2011 and ended on 8 March 2012. The League comprises different than the previous season 12 teams because there was no direct relegated in the previous season. Up from the Pirveli League were the FC Gagra Tbilisi and FC Merani Martwili.

The best eight teams have qualified for the championship round, which determined the Georgian champion and the participants in the European competitions for the 2012/13 season. The remaining four teams took part in a relegation round where they competed with the two best teams of the second division ( Pirveli League ) four Erstligaplätze for the 2012/13 season. The current title holder FC Zestaponi could successfully defend his title. Besides promoted FC Gagra Tbilisi and FC Spartaki Tskhinvali had to join the in the second division.
