2011–12 Welsh Premier League

The League of Wales in 2011/12 was the 20th season of the highest Welsh football league of gentlemen. The League began on 12 August 2011 and ended with the last meeting of the European League Playoffs on May 19, 2012.

Bangor City failed to defend their title, the championship was won by The New Saints FC.

Mode

The twelve teams played first in a round and a second round each two times against each other. After that, the league was split, with the top six teams for the championship and international launch sites should play while the rest played for the descent. In these split rounds, the teams competed again each two times against each other.

The best-placed team of the Master Round was Welsh champion and qualified for the qualification for the Champions League 2012/13. The runner-up was allowed to start directly in qualifying for the Europa League 2012/13. The remaining teams in the champion round, as well as the best team in the relegation round, should play qualification in a playoff tournament for the last place in the Europa League. Since the playing in the Champions Round Neath AFC was not eligible for licensing reasons, moved the second- placed team from the relegation round, Aberystwyth Town, after.

Europa League Playoffs

The teams ranked three to six of the champions round, and the winner of the relegation round reached the playoffs. In the knock-out system, a subscriber was determined at the first qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League 2012/13. They played three rounds, with the top three teams received a bye for the first round.
