2011 Aegon Nottingham Challenge

The AEGON Nottingham Challenge 2011 was the first edition of the tennis lawn tournament in Nottingham. The main round was played from 6 to 12 June 2011. It was part of the ATP Challenger Tour 2011, and together with the one week earlier held AEGON Trophy 2011, as well as a wheelchair tennis tournament, the British Open, the Nottingham Tennis Festival.

The field of the individual competition consisted of 32 players, double that of the competition from 16 pairs. For the individual tournament, a qualifying round with 32 participants took place in the run-up in which four players were able to qualify for the main draw. The prize money of the event totaled € 64,000 as the year before.

The top-seeded Frenchman Jérémy Chardy and Dudi Sela of Israeli: In the final of the individual tournament, the two top-seeded players in the tournament were. After three sets itself Sela could be the first entry in the list of winners of the tournament and thus gained the 12 Challenger singles title of his career and third of the season.

In the doubles competition sat the unseeded Rik De Voest of South Africa and Adil Shamasdin from Canada in straight sets against De Voests longtime partner Izak van der Merwe and Treat Huey of the Philippines through. This was for De Voest tenth doubles title of his career in this category and the second this year. For Shamasdin it was the eighth title on the Challenger tour and also the second of the season.
