2011 Alpine Skiing World Cup

The season 2010/2011 the FIS Alpine World Cup, organized by the started 23 October 2010 on the Rettenbachferner in Sölden and ended on March 20, 2011 to mark the World Cup finals in Lenzerheide.

In the men's 38 races were planned (9 runs, 7 Super -G, Giant Slalom 8, 10 slalom, 3 Super- combinations, 1 Parallel Slalom ); but also with a classic combination rating. In the women's 38 race should be discharged (9 runs, 7 Super -G, Giant Slalom 8, 10 slalom, 3 Super- combinations, 1 Parallel Slalom ). Due to the weather conditions were in the men's three races not be performed with the ladies six.

The overall World Cup Ladies was decided on the last race weekend in Lenzerheide with the narrowest ever reached projection at all. Due to the cancellation of the last giant slalom of the season Maria Hoefl - Riesch could save her in the slalom the day before moved out lead of just three points ahead of Lindsey Vonn, which reached 99.83 % of the total World Cup points champion.

As in previous years was held a team competition at the end of the season. For the first time a team competition was also planned at the World Cup opener in Soelden, but was taken out of the program. The parallel slalom were held under the name City Event on January 2, 2011 at the Munich Olympic Park. The result was one for the World Cup, but not for a discipline standings.

The highlight of the season was the Alpine Ski World Championship but the results did not count from 7 to 20 February 2011 in Garmisch -Partenkirchen, for the World Cup.
