2011 Asian Men's Volleyball Championship
The volleyball Asia Men's Championship 2011 was held from 21 to 29 September in Tehran instead. Iran hosts, who had lost the final two years ago, won this time against China the title. South Korea ranked the fourth time in a row the third place.
Mode
In the first round were sixteen teams in four groups. The group winners and runners the first round played in the second round of the pairings for the quarterfinals. There, the winners of Groups E and F met crosswise to the Fourth and the Second to the third party. From the quarter- finals it was a knockout system on to the finals. The losers of the quarter-finals played at positions five to eight. The teams that were in the first round become third in the group and fourth, determined the ranking in ninth to sixteen.
