2011 ATP World Tour Finals

The ATP World Tour Finals 2011 were 20 to 27 November 2011, as in the previous year in London at the O2 Arena instead; was played on indoor hard courts. It was the 42nd edition of the competition in singles, 36th in doubles. In addition to the four Grand Slam tournaments, the ATP World Tour Finals are the most important competition in the men's professional tennis; they are always held at the end of the season. The tournament was part of the ATP World Tour 2011.

Defending champion Roger Federer was in the individual, which again could win the title again this year; play in the final, he defeated Jo -Wilfried Tsonga, who first survived the group stage at the ATP World Tour Finals and then immediately reached the final. Federer won in the 100th final of his career for the sixth time at this event and is now the sole record title holder ( previously it was this, together with Ivan Lendl and Pete Sampras ). In doubles, Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic were the defending champions. Nestor reached this time with a different partner, Max Mirny, again the final and was able to prevail against Mariusz Fyrstenberg and Marcin Matkowski. Thus Nestor has won the competition for the fourth time, for Mirny it was the second title at the annual closing event.

The prize money totaled 5.07 million pounds sterling, equivalent to 5.92 million euros.

With Roger Federer ( 2003-04, 2006-07, 2010) and Novak Djokovic (2008) was attended by two former winners of the tournament at this year's host, David Ferrer and Rafael Nadal were finalists in 2007 and 2010 respectively. Novak Djokovic and with Rafael Nadal took all the winners, with Andy Murray and Roger Federer all the finalists of the Grand Slam tournaments of the current year in part. Each participating player won at least one tournament title during the year 2011. Andy Murray was due to an injury after his match against David Ferrer, Janko Tipsarevic so that a substitute was used. He was so in addition to Mardy Fish of the second debutant.

With Bob and Mike Bryan ( 2003-04, 2009) took an already winning team at the event; Daniel Nestor, Michaël Llodra, Nenad Zimonjic and Max Mirny had in other occupations, the tournament also won. With the Bryans, Mirnyi / Nestor and Melzer / Petzschner all Grand Slam winner of the year took part. Both the team Lindstedt / Tecau and the team Bopanna / Qureshi have first time in 2011 qualified for the ATP World Tour Finals.
