2011 Delray Beach International Tennis Championships

The Delray Beach International Tennis Championships 2011 were a tennis tournament, which was held in Delray Beach from 21 to 27 February 2011. It was part of the ATP World Tour in 2011 and was discharged on hard court. In the same week the Abierto Mexicano Telcel were in Dubai Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships and played in Acapulco. These included, in contrast to the Delray Beach International Tennis Championships, which belonged to Category ATP World Tour 250 ATP World Tour 500 to Category

Defender of the single was Ernests Gulbis, but he played this week another tournament and thus did not defend his title. The individual competition won Juan Martín del Potro in the final, he defeated Janko Tipsarevic. Del Potro had set out for the first time in Delray Beach, he could win the tournament so right off the bat. This was his total eighth ATP title and his first tournament victory since his long injury lay-off last year, and secured his re-entry into the top 100 in the world rankings. In doubles, Bob and Mike Bryan were the defending champions, but they also came in this week at another tournament. The doubles competition Scott Lipsky and Rajeev Ram decided for themselves, in the final they defeated the German - Austrian duo Christopher Kas and Alexander Peya. This was her first title in Delray Beach, the second joint title of the season and the third joint title at all.
