Top Division

Organization

The Women's World Cup of the top division was organized by an organizing committee chaired by Fredy Weisser, who also belongs to the board of directors of the Swiss ice hockey club ZSC Lions. In Winterthur was Roger Meier, former coach of EHC Winterthur, responsible. Overall, the committee stood a budget of 1.5 million Swiss francs to 160,000 francs by the IIHF and the cities of Zurich and Winterthur provided the infrastructure free of charge and also made ​​a small financial contribution. The largest cost item of the World Cup was the accommodation and meals for teams and officials, who consumed about 500,000 francs.
