2011 Legg Mason Tennis Classic

The Legg Mason Tennis Classic 2011 was a tennis tournament which from July 31 to August 7, 2011 in Washington, DC occurred. It was part of the ATP World Tour in 2011 and was discharged on hard court. In the same week the bet-at -home Cup Kitzbühel was played in Kitzbühel. However, this counts as opposed to the Legg Mason Tennis Classic, which is part of the ATP World Tour 500, only to Category ATP World Tour 250

In the final Radek Stepanek defeated the top-seeded Gael Monfils; the triumph in Washington was Stepanek first title since 2009 and the fifth of his career. In doubles, Mardy Fish and Mark Knowles were the defending champions, but Knowles came into this year with a different partner and retired in the quarterfinals of. In the final, Michaël Llodra and Nenad Zimonjic were able to prevail against Robert Lindstedt and Horia Tecau. The victory in Washington is the first public officials for both the title and first season title; for Llodra it is the 19th, for the 40th Zimonjic doubles title.

The field of individual petition consisted of 48 players, double that of the petition of 16 pairs. The 16 top-seeded player in singles each got a bye into the second round.
