2011 Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters
The Monte Carlo Rolex Masters 2011 is a tennis tournament which takes place from 10th to 17th April 2011 at the Monte Carlo Country Club in Roquebrune- Cap- French Martin at Monaco. It is part of the ATP World Tour 2011 and will be played on Clay Court. In the current season, it is the third of nine tournaments Category ATP World Tour Masters 1000th
Defender of the single was Rafael Nadal, who had won six times the tournament in the years 2005-2010 at a time. Also in this year, he took the title in the final, he defeated his compatriot David Ferrer; This is Nadal's first season title and his 44th career title overall. In doubles, Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic won in the last two years the title, but they were no longer together in this year. In the 2011 final, the Bryan brothers were able to prevail against Juan Ignacio Chela and Bruno Soares; after 2007 this is the second Monte Carlo title of the Bryan brothers. Thus, the Bryans have been able to secure their third season and the 70th joint career title.
The field of individual petition consisted of 56 players, double that of the petition of 24 pairs. The top-seeded player in singles or 8 pairs in double each got a bye into the second round.
