2011 Rally Islas Canarias

The Rally Islas Canarias 2011 was the second round of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge 2011. The rally was held from April 14 to 16, 2011 on the island of Gran Canaria instead. They also belonged to the Spanish Rally Championship.

The paddock of the rally was in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. After the shake down on 14 April, the first stages were run on April 15. On the first day of the rally were eight tests with a length of 116.81 kilometers on the program, including two night examinations at the end of day. One of them had to be canceled for safety reasons, however. On the second day, followed by four trials with a length of 73.78 kilometers. A total of eleven stages were discharged with a length of 167.52 kilometers on paved roads. At the rally came to 35 starters and 41 of the IRC of the Spanish Cup.

After the first special stage led briefly Guy Wilks. Then drove January Kopecký several best times and took the lead, which he kept until the end of the first day. However, the advantage over his pursuers Freddy Loix, Thierry Neuville and Juho Hänninen was only a few seconds in the field. On the second day Neuville took the lead until he lost in the very next test on Hänninen. Thereupon a close duel between the Škoda pilots Kopecký and Hänninen for the overall victory, the Hänninen with 1.5 seconds ahead decided just for occurred. Neuville was 8.2 seconds behind third.

In the ranking of the Spanish Championship Miguel Fuster won ahead of Bruno Magalhães and Xavier Pons.
