2011 SAP Open

The SAP Open 2011 was a tennis tournament, which was held in San José from 7 to 13 February 2011. It was part of the ATP World Tour in 2011 and was held in the indoor hard courts. In the same week the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament and played in Costa do Sauipe, the Brasil Open in Rotterdam. The latter included just like the SAP Open to Category ATP World Tour 250, while the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament belonged to Category ATP World Tour 500.

In this year's final, Milos Raonic continued almost through to the set at position 1 titleholder Fernando Verdasco. There were in the whole match history not a single break; both sets were decided in the tie-break. For Raonic, who ever stood for the first time in an ATP final, it was thus the first ATP title. In doubles, Mardy Fish and Sam Querrey were the defending champions, but they were not together in this year. It won Scott Lipsky and Rajeev Ram through a three- set victory over Alejandro Falla and Xavier Malisse. This was her second common ATP title and the first this year, after they had just lost a week earlier still in the final in Johannesburg.

The field of individual petition consisted of 32 players, double that of the petition of 16 pairs.
