2011 World Taekwondo Championships
The 20th World Taekwondo Championship took place from 1 to 6, 2011 in the South Korean city of Gyeongju instead.
The Council of the World Taekwondo Federation ( WTF ) decided on 29 November 2009 during its meeting in Cairo for the application. A four-member South Korean delegation, led by Jin Bang Yang, the Secretary General of the Korean Taekwon -Do Association ( 한국 태권도 협회 ;韩国 跆拳道 协会; KTA), was led, had traveled to the presentation after Cairo.
South Korea was the sixth time host the World Cup, most recently she had been held in the city of Jeju 2001.
