2012–13 Biathlon World Cup

In the 2012/2013 season of the Biathlon World Cup was held for the 35th time. The highlight of the season was the Biathlon World Championships in 2013 in the Czech Nove Mesto na Moravě. As a substructure of the IBU Cup acted 2012/2013.

Defender of the overall World Cup was the Frenchman Martin Fourcade of men. The winner of the overall World Cup of women, the German Magdalena Neuner had declared the end of the preseason its resignation and could not defend this position with it. Starter quotas

The starting quota for the individual nations resulting from the results of the previous World Cup winter. Squad and season of Nations

Germany

Since May 2012, the classifications for the course of the DSV groups are known. The youth coordinator and long-time national coach of the men, Frank Ullrich replaced as national coach for cross-country skiers. Magdalena Neuner, Sabrina Buchholz and Daniel Graf ended their career. In June 2012, Kathrin superheater married her former teammate Toni Long and adopted the last name.
