2012 ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament

The ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament 2012 was a tennis tournament which was held in Rotterdam from 13 to 19 February 2012. It was part of the ATP World Tour in 2012 and was held in the indoor hard courts. In the same week the Brasil Open was played in San Jose SAP Open as well as in São Paulo. These included, in contrast to the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament, which belonged to Category ATP World Tour 500, only to Category ATP World Tour 250

The defending champion in singles, Robin Soderling, could not compete due to injury. In this year's final, Roger Federer prevailed in straight sets against Juan Martín del Potro. This was after 2005 his second title in Rotterdam and the 71st ATP title of his career. In doubles, Jurgen Melzer and Philipp Petzschner were the defending champions. However Petzschner went to this year with a new partner and was eliminated in the quarterfinals of. In the final, Michaël Llodra and Nenad Zimonjic won in three sets over Robert Lindstedt and Horia Tecau, while they fought off five match points. This was their fifth joint ATP title. Llodra had won 22 titles with various partners already, Zimonjić even 43, including 2009 and 2010 in Rotterdam.

The field of the individual competition consisted of 32 players, double that of the competition from 16 pairs.
