2012 Blu-express.com Tennis Cup
The Blu- express.com Tennis Cup 2012 was a tennis tournament which took place in Todi from 10 to 16 September 2012. It was part of the ATP Challenger Tour in 2012 and was held outdoors on sand.
The field of the individual competition consisted of 32 players, double that of the competition from 16 pairs. In the individual competition, there was a qualifying round with 16 players, by the four players could qualify for the main draw itself. The prize money of the event was a total of 30,000 €.
Winner of the individual competition was set at position four Russian Andrei Kuznetsov, who defeated in the final against the top-seeded Italian Paolo Lorenzi. He benefited from the task of his opponent with the score at 6-3, 2-0 due to an injury to his Achilles tendon rake. It was Kuznetsov's second single title on Challenger level of his career, both of which he gained this season.
The double competition won by the top-seeded Austrian Martin Fischer and Philipp Oswald, the unseeded Italian Marco Cecchinato and Alessio di Mauro defeated in the final. It was after 2009 was the second success of the Austrian doubles at the Challenger tournament in Todi. Besides, it was Fischer's 14th career title with a doubles competition of the Challenger category, and the second of the season. For Oswald, it was the 15th Challenger doubles title of his career and also the second tournament win of the season. It was the 13th victory of the common two Austrians in a Challengerturnier.
