2012 Caribbean Series

The Series del Caribe 2012 was the 54th staging of the Caribbean club championship in baseball. It took place from 2 to 7 February 2012 at the Estadio Quisqueya in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Participants were the masters of Mexico, Puerto Rico, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic. The Leones del Escogido from the Dominican Republic won for the fourth time in the Caribbean title. The tournament victory was clear after the first game of the penultimate day. They played a double round, so twice each against all. In a tie for first place there would have been a playoff. This was the case in 2003 last. This year's participants Indios de Mayagüez was already three times involved in such a decision game ( win 1992 Losses in 1999 and 2003).
